REDA 1865

Welhavens zq merino wool is knitted in Italy, at Reda 1865.  Reda is known for their innovative and exclusive merino fabrics  and is a benchmark for the greatest fashion houses in the world.  Reda dates back to 1865. 

Not only do they produce the best quality fabrics, but their values and high focus on sustainability, environmental protection and animal welfare made it easy to choose Reda. Reda is actually the only wool mill in the world that holds the EMAS certification and the first italian textile company that became B Corporation Certified.

Reda has also created “Reda Sustainability Award” to recognize growers from New Zealand and Australia who distinguished themselves in the field of sustainability, making a distinctive effort in relation to the animals and the entire eco system.

wearex

Welhavens is sewn at Wearex, a manufacturing company located in beautiful Kaunas in Lithuania. Rita and Auksė have been running the factory for over 10 years, and have now approx 40 employers. One of the reasons we chose Wearex was because their employers are working under the best conditions. But also because of their expertise in sewing jersey, their great customer service and the company’s values. Wearex has won the “Gazelė” award, given to companies that strictly meet special criteria, such as minimum 20 % of annual growth, no debts to state tax institutions and timely tax payments as well as average wage. For the second year in a row, UAB “Wearex” has been nominated as one of the most successful and fastest growing Lithuanian companies.

Fildan

Our high quality rings and sliders used in our bra, comes from Fildan, an Austrian family-run business that has exsisted since 1952. All their components are OEKO-TEX and ISO-9001 certified, along with a high focus on protecting the envirmonment . You can read more about the company and their values here.

LITMANS FABRICS

One of the UK’s most innovative independent textile suppliers since 1946, based in Nottingham, ECO FRIENDLY Litmans supplies us with their OEKO TEX power mesh fabrics. Their base of operations is a modern, self sufficient building powered by solar power and bio mass energy. “In line with our zero waste policy, we continue to work hard to reduce our carbon footprint on the environment.”— more about Litmans and their new sustainable collection here.

odea

ODEA, a French company, is the result of a merger achieved in 2009 between two companies known for their expertise. Odea supplies us with the softes hooks & eyes used in our bra, and is of course OEKO-TEX certificated. You can learn more about Odea here.

CHEYNET & FILS

Our elastics is OEKO TEX certificated and comes from The French company Cheynet & Fils, founded in 1948.
